Often, your family can support you
If you have a partner or extended family living nearby, they can all play a very important role in supporting you and your breastfeeding journey.
Your partner may not be able to breastfeed your baby but can contribute in other ways, for example by changing the baby's nappy or burping the baby during or after breastfeeding.
You can also ask your partner to make you a nutritious meal or take your baby for a walk so that you can have a shower or rest.
Your partner may want to read more about how he/she can support you. Read more on the Australian Breastfeeding Association website.
